Horsted Place is a great venue for a country house wedding in the East Sussex countryside. From the ceremony itself, to fine dining for your guests, your wedding can be as grand or as private as you’d like. Horsted Place have three areas licensed for marriage ceremonies: the Library can seat up to 50 guests while the larger elegant Terrace Room with French doors on to the formal gardens is the perfect setting for gatherings of up to one hundred. Ceremonies can also take place on the lawn with guests seated in front of the Victorian style summerhouse where the register is signed. There are also some great opportunities for wedding photography and it remains one of the best venues in East Sussex for the Wedding Photographer.
Horsted Place changes with the seasons, making the perfect backdrop for your wedding at any time of the year. In the winter, holly and ivy surround our roaring log fires, and in the summer, our glorious gardens, landscaped by Sir Geoffrey Jellicoe, are alive with colourful and fragrant plants and flowers. Spring brings snowdrops, daffodils and carpets of bluebells, and in the autumn our trees glow with the changing colours of the season.
